ST. JUDE'S KICKATHON

It's been awhile. The studio has been really busy with the tournament season that kicked off at the beginning of the year, sorry for the lack of updates. Our annual Kickathon for St. Jude Children's Hospital took place at the end of March and we raised just under $2200. Thanks to all who participated!!!

2010 INNER SCHOOL TOURNAMENT

Our seventh annual inner school tournament was held on Saturday Oct. 23 and all of our competitors were on fire!!!! Everyone looked great and demonstrated the true spirit of martial arts in there performances. Below you will find the result of the competition... all of you were awesome!!!

Busy Summer

It has been a busy summer and the blog has been neglected for a little while, but here's a summer wrap up, better late than never. Spring ended with a tournament at Stanford University, with another great showing from Team Elite. (See results below) June brought the annual ETA picnic and Black Belt Ceremony where Joshua Esteva, Austin Kim, Peter Oh, Mackenzie Iverson and Ajay Singh received their Black Belts. Congratulations guys!!! Rounding out the summer, Mrs. Avila became the owner of Livermore Gymnastic Center where she has been the team coach for the last 10 years. Mr. & Mrs. Avila have been busy renovating the gymnastic center for it's grand reopening in September.

First Tournaments of the Season

Our tournament team just participated in their first two tournaments of the season and did really well as a whole. It has been really nice to see the growth in some of our more seasoned competitors and refreshing to see the energy that's being injected into our team by the newer members of the team.

New Dojang

Here are some pictures of the new dojang. We began classes on Feb. 1 and it has been great to have the extra space, 600 sqft more than the old dojang. There are still many things to do to complete the move but the journey of a thousand miles is made one step at a time. I wanted to thank all of you who lent a helping hand with the move, especially my father and father-in-law who did a beautiful job with the new cubbies and benches.
